Sectional Tree Felling

Section felling will be used in situations where there could be a risk of damage occurring to property or harm to the public. The work consists of the entire removal of the tree in sections, to manage the felling process in a controlled manner.

Direct Tree Felling

The direct fell of trees is the removal of trees as a single unit. Direct felling will be limited to such situations that pose no risk of damage to any property or persons whatsoever. Trees to be direct felled will be guided by felling wedges to ensure the correct direction of controlled fall where necessary. Each tree will be individually assessed in relation to the shape, size, character, condition, site and species of tree.

Crown Thinning

Crown thinning involves the removal of a proportion of secondary and small live branches from throughout the crown to thin the density within the tree crown. The intention being to increase light levels, by allowing more light to pass through the tree’s canopy. We will leave the tree with an overall, even density of foliage around a well spaced and balanced branch structure to encourage natural re-growth.

Crown Lifting

Crown lifting involves the removal of lower branches of the tree to reduce obstruction and hindrance in a garden environment All final cuts will be made at the branch collar, with the branch collar remaining intact. Under no circumstances will any flush cuts be made. This method of cutting reduces the risk of disease entering the trunk of the tree.

Crown Cleaning or Dead Wooding

Crown cleaning is the removal of dead or damaged wood in the crown of the tree, this process helps protect against the spread of disease and enhances the appearance of the tree.

Fallen Tree Removal

Trees can fall for many reasons including weather damage and disease. We can remove the fallen tree and any debris leaving your property safe. We will be happy to log any fallen trees should you wish to use them for fuel.

Tree Preservation / Conservation Areas

We are happy to undertake TPO work and approved work in conservation areas.

Emergency Work

We are happy to offer a 24 hour call out service for weather damaged trees where there is an immediate danger to life or property. The tree will be made safe until a suitable time when it can be felled or removed.
